Just wanted to shear with you one of my favorite verses of poetry. I love Dickinson.
VI.
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
VI.
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
I love this. It reminds me of a mantra I read a while ago, "A little better than you found it", because I guess that gives your life a real purpose.
